Templeman, SIL, pp. 25, 26, 63. The Greater was called Mahāpadmavajra. His disciple was Anangavajra, whose own disciple was the Middle Padmavajra. The Later or Junior is identified with Padmasambhava.
There were three teachers of O rgyan with this name: 1. Senior: Anaṅgavajra. 2. Saroruha. 3. Junior: Padmasambhava. Stearns, TRP, p. 135, but see also p. 153, where it is secret name of Kāṇha.
The Path of Padmavajra means his Zab mo'i tshul dgu. Stearns, TRP, p. 162 & note.

This letter was not included in Siglinde Dietz's book because she had not discovered its existence in time. In a review of Dietz's book (Journal of the American Oriental Society, vol. 105 [1985], p. 802), Lindtner expresses the opinion that this letter and the tantric author of the Guhyasiddhi are the same person. He also says this work is a fervent hymn to Prajñā which poorly imitates the Prajñāpāramitāstotra of Rāhulabhadra.
