Lo Bue, Newar Scholars, p. 653. An Indian teacher of 'Gos Khug pa Lhas btsas. He resided at Bal po rdzong ('Nepalese fort'). Other forms of his name are given by Lo Bue as Napakoṭibāda, Nāvakoṭipa, Navakoṭi. Since Bal po rdzong is just a Tibetan translation of Nawakot (Nuvakoth), it seems clear that the name Navikoṭa just means 'the person from Nawakot.'
