The founder of Subud. Sometimes called Bapak, which simply means 'father' in Indonesian language.
I was thinking that Subud is simply Sabad in Hindi, which is Śabda, 'sound,' in Sanskrit. However, the official Subud website says that it is an acronym "derived from three Sanskrit words: Susila, Budhi and Dharma."
