Chen, Fazang, p. 23. A possible Sanskritization of the Chinese Mituoshan, aka Mituoxian, who arrived in China probably in 702 CE. Mitrasanta (Mitraśānta?) is also suggested as a possibility. He was a monk of Tokharian origins.
