Sternbach, IWSI, pp. 103-104. The name Masūrākṣa is mentioned only once in Vallabhadeva's Subhāṣitāvalī as the author of a verse (but this verse is a Pañcatantra verse in its origins). Sternbach thinks this person has nothing to do with the Tanjur author. He dates the Tibetan translator Shākya blo gros to the 11th century. There are altogether 129 verses divided into seven adhyāyas, containing 12, 15, 19, 21, 16, 26, and 19 verses.
