Maṇibhadrā

Dictionary Definition: 

  • Identified in a Nepalese terracotta image illustrated in Pal, HAA, p. 57, she is under a tree next to a dead dog whose entrails are being pulled out by a bird roosting in the tree.
  • Egyed, Mahāsiddha (or rather, Mahāsiddhā) no. 65 (Ma ṇi bha dra). Depicted soaring in the sky.
  • No. 65 in Sempa Dorje. Illustration following p. 164. Her name in Tibetan: Rnal 'byor ma Nor bu bzang mo. She was a housewife of the vaiṣya caste, from Agace Nagara. Disciple of Kukuripā.
