Maṅgalaśrī

Dictionary Definition: 

  • Tibetan version of his name said to be Dge 'dun dpal (Saṅghaśrī?). Pundit in around 12th century. Listed without further information in Mtshan-tho, no. 111.
  • In list of Later Spread (Phyi dar) period pundits in Tibet contained in Zhu chen, Bstan 'gyur dkar chag, p. 161, line 19 (Mangga la shrī). The Tibetan translation of the name ought to be *Bkra shis dpal.
  • KCDS, p. 46. The list has Ācāryavāṅgalaśrībhadra (Slob dpon Rāngga la dpal bzang po), which must be corrupt forms.
