Guṇākara (*Yon tan ‘od)

Dictionary Definition: 

  • Also called Guṇākarabhadra. Note that Guṇaprabha, q.v., is also represented in Tibetan by Yon tan 'od.

    • Moriguchi, p. 16. The author's name in full is Śrī Śvetāmbarapaṇḍita Guṇākara. This might suggest that he belonged to a branch of the Jaina religion (Śvetāmbara means 'White Clothed').
