Aka Gu ru Chos dbang. Born in Lho brag La yag, his father was Spang ston Grub pa'i snying po, his mother Dkar bza' Mgon skyid. His father was reading the 'Jam dpal mtshan brjod when he was born and had reached the words "chos kyi dbang phyug chos kyi rgyal," and this inspired the name.
