He wrote several treatises on the identification of herbs. According to Olaf Czaja, these works seem to be preserved in Tibet, but not published.

A collection of his medical works has been published: Gtsang sman Ye shes bzang po, Gtsang sman pa'i sman yig phyogs bsgrigs (Mtsho sngon 2007), in 426 pages.
Death date given as shortly after 1784. His works contain a title Dwags po'i sman nag sbyor tshul. Trungram, Gampopa, p. 43.
