According to what I think to be a late and unreliable account of Imperial Period medical history, this figure is said to have translated a text on horse medicine entitled Rta'i dpyad me long skor gsum dang rta dpyad rin po che'i gter mdzod. This would seem to make him a 'founding' figure among veterinarians.
