  • Coomaraswamy, An Illustrated Nepalese Manuscript, Museum of Fine Arts Bulletin, vol. 19, no. 114 (August 1921), pp. 47-49. A manuscript, with its original painted wood cover and dated about 1136 A.D. (presumably the 4th year of the reign of Gopala III, but perhaps the 4th year of the Nepali Samvat, which would have to be 883 CE).
  • Sircar, MM, p. 126. Known to have reigned at least 15 years. His paternal uncle Madanapāla succeeded him in 1143.
