Based on Dungkar Rinpoche's dictionary entry (p. 1662), he was a disciple of Zhang G.yu brag pa. He was the first to spread the Tshal pa Bka' brgyud in Mi nyag (Shis zha). Later after the conquest of the Tangut, he went to Mongolia and taught Jing ger Han (Chinggis Khan).
