As a translator, his name appears in two Tanjur colophons, but more are listed in Gangs can mkhas grub, pp. 1678-9, where his birth is dated to about the middle of the 8th century.
For a way of distinguishing the three different Dran pa nam mkha's in Bon tradition, see Reynolds, OTZ, p. 459. Only the third and most recent one corresponds to the one known in non-Bonpo history.
