She was a queen in the later years of Khri srong lde btsan's reign. The Sheep year in which she took ordination from Rba Ratna, becoming a nun with the name Byang chub rje, must be the year 791 CE. Yamaguchi, Methods, p. 412.
Other sources give her ordination (dge tshul ma?) name as Byang chub sman, or Byang chub ma. Her clan name is often misspelled as 'Gro bza'.
