The fourphala, i. e. fruitions, or rewards --srota-āpanna-phala, sakradāgāmi-phala,anāgāmiphala,arhat-phala, i. e. four grades of saintship; see 須陀洹; 斯陀含, 阿那含, and 阿羅漢. The four titles are also applied to four grades ofśramaṇas-- yellow and blue flowerśramaṇas, lotusśramaṇas, meekśramaṇas, and ultra-meekśramaṇas.
