Dictionary Definition: 

Purindada [distorted fr. Vedic puraŋ -- dara, pura+dṛ to break, see darī, thus "breaker of fortresses," Ep. of Indra (& Agni). The P. Commentator (VvA 171) of course takes it popularly as "pure dānaŋ dadātī ti Purindado ti vuccati," thus pure+; see also Trenckner, Notes 596; Geiger, P.Gr. § 443] "townbreaker," a name of Sakka (Indra) D ii.260; S i.230; Vv 374, 622; PvA 247.
