The version translated by Erik Pema Kunzang has 41 chapters and 202 pages, although he points out that there is a longer (286 page) unpublished version in the National Archives in Kathmandu, which bears the title U rgyan gu ru padma 'byung gnas kyi rnam thar 'bring po zangs gling mar grags pa. The National Archives also has the most extensive version, in 1260 pages that was found in Mustang ("banned in Central Tibet because of clear and damaging predictions about certain ministers' involvement in the decline of Buddhism in Tibet in the twentieth century").
