Nicolaus of Damascus (Nicolaus Damascenus; 64- to ca. 4 BCE)

  • His work De Plantis was attributed to Aristotle. It was influential on Arabic plant science and materia medica. It could be called a theoretical treatise on botany. An early botanical work.
