Some biographies may be found on the internet. In 1945 he was appointed parish priest of Yerkalo (or nowadays called Yanjing, it was founded in 1865 by the French missionary Felix Biet, 1838-1901; at present the parish priest is Father Laurent), in southeastern Tibet, but he was bodily removed by the local lamas. His name is listed at the official Vatican website as a martyr for the faith that has been beatified. Maurice Tornay, Swiss Canon Regular of Great St. Bernard Missionary in Tibet (+ 1949), killed by Lamistic monks [beatified on 16 May 1993].
