  • Ma taṃ ki. Or, Ma ti ki, Ma tang gi. A yogi who initiated Ti lo pa into Guhyasamāja in S India. Successor of Klu sgrub. He tended cattle before meeting Nāgārjuna, and when he asked Nāgārjuna if he should meditate, Nāgārjuna told him to meditate while watching the cattle. In this manner he obtained the siddhis. Acc. to Rwa lung dkar brgyud gser 'phreng, Reproduced from the 1771-2 Spungs-thang xylographic blocks (Palampur 1975), vol. 1, p. 63, he is also called Gho kṣar or Klu'i byang chub.
