Famous abbot of Se ra. Disciple of Tsong kha pa. A number of his works are listed in A khu chin's catalog of rare books, and apparently they are still quite rare.

In September 2007, E. Gene Smith announced the publication of a collection of his works. According to this, his dates were 1383-1450. He was a disciple of Tsongkhapa. His works on philosophy were superceded, and basically disappeared, during the early 18th century. The collected works, in three volumes has now been published: Gung ru rgyal mtshan bzang po'i gsung 'bum, Dpal brtsegs bod yig dpe rnying zhib 'jug khang, ed., Krung go'i bod rig pa dpe skrun khang (Beijing 2007).
