Ekanath (Eknath)

Dictionary Definition: 

  • Lived in Maharashtra from 1533 to 1599. Composed a work on a dialogue between a Hindu Brahmin and a Muslim, the Hinduturkasamvada, in which the one makes fun of the other's religious practices. Not exactly up to the standards of modern interfaith dialogue.
