金剛薩埵

Dictionary Definition: 

Vajrasattva(-mahāsattva). 金薩 A form of Puxian (Samantabhadra), reckoned as the second of the eight patriarchs of the 真言宗 Shingon sect, also known as 金剛手 (金剛手祕密王 or金剛手菩薩) and other similar titles. The term is also applied to allvajra-beings, orvajra-bodhisattvas; especially those in the moon-circle in the east of the Diamondmaṇḍala. Śākyamuni also takes thevajrasattvaform. (1) All beings arevajrasattva, because of their Buddha-nature. (2) So are all beginners in the faith and practice. (3) So are the retinue of Akṣobhya. (4) So is Great Puxian.
